Is There Job Security in Being an Employee?

EACH GENERATION naturally wants to achieve equal or more than their previous generation. I recently read a report that shows that American men in their 30s earn significantly less than their fathers. Costs of living are rising, incomes are actually decreasing, student debt is at an all time high, people are more educated than ever, yet, incomes are down.

People may complain, but few actually do anything proactive about it. According to Donald Trump, income in your 30s is usually a good indicator of your lifetime earning. So this survey could mean that overall, this generation might be one of the first to not do as well as their parents, unless they start to “think” differently and take different actions.

Understand there is no job security any longer….people tend to stay at jobs they hate, are not content with their income, work long hours, don’t see their families….all for what they perceive to be “job security”. Job security is an illusion! Downsizing, layoffs, etc are an example of this illusion. Companies often hire workers on contract so they don’t have to pay benefits. The only way to create job security is to take control and work for yourself.

What stops people from taking that step into entrepreneurship? Fear and limiting beliefs. People also believe it has to be the “right time”. Society has been so conditioned to think that you go to school, get an education, get a “good” job and stay there until you retire and the “corporation” will look after you. Wrong. There is no job security these days.

If you want to break out of the old way of thinking, you must be willing to learn new things and step out of your comfort zone. Read books like Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad, where he addresses the “path” we are conditioned to take, or Trump/Kiyosaki’s book Why We Want you To Be Rich…..there is a NEW thinking out there, and it’s time to change the way you think or you will be left behind financially. It’s time to work smarter, realize your potential, take a stand for what you really want in your life and stop letting fear and limiting beliefs hold you back. Do you know why business owners make more than employees? Because they are willing to take a risk, they don’t need the approval of everyone around them, and they go after what they truly want. They are not afraid to take risks, even though the same fears have been drilled into their subconscious. They are willing to step outside of conventional wisdom to create better results in their lives. They are willing to take their ideas and passions and take action.

You can be part of the masses of society that keep waiting for someone to save them, or you can break free from that “victim” mindset and go out and create your own results. It is simply a choice….life is a choice….choose well…
